FWQ: Incredible runs & action at the Stimorol Engadinsnow 2010
136 female and male freeriders started in 3 categories (Ski, Snowboard and Telemark)in the qualification round yesterday. Only the best 23 and some invited riders would make it to the finals, which took place today at the famous North Face of Mount Corvatsch.
In the freeski category, Sam Smoothy from New Zealand beat Mathieu Imbert from France by only 0.2 points. The women freeski competition was won by Pia Widmesser from Germany.
José Caron from Switzerland triumphed in the Snowboard contest - and Raphael Bullet realized a Swiss double-win with his second place. Susan Mol (Freeride World Champion 2009) from the US won the women snowboard category.
